Dance, in all its forms and genres, is a performing art, participation in all phases of presenting a performance is an
essential part of dance training.
Every dancer should learn that dancing is music made visible, and that choreography is the glue that fuses the
music, the ear, and the mind; it is what makes you remember the dance long after the final curtain.
The Young Choreographers' Showcase was created with such an importance in mind: to offer young choreographers
a forum to learn, to create and to present their works.
This year's Showcase presented works from six young choreographers ages 10 to 14.
